This 20cm diameter is made from Museum Quality acrylic (it will never yellow).  The globe ball pearlescent blue oceans (hence the name) and gold land masses and is mounted in a sculptured acrylic base.  This is a stunning globe, the base allows the globe to be picked up and handled, the first thing everyone wants to do when they see it.
